Are you passionate about teaching and supporting children with special educational needs? If you answered yes, then this job opportunity for a SEN Primary Supply Teacher may be for you!

The Role: You will be responsible for delivering excellent mixed curriculum lessons to Primary School children with SEN needs such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), and other SEND / behavioural difficulties. You will be working closely and supported by teaching assistants and senior leaders to enable you to create the most nurturing and supportive classroom environment possible.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • An innovative, resilient and patient educator with a compassionate approach to teaching children
  • SEN(D) experience in or out of an educational setting
  • Clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Able to collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and other support staff
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
  • Comfortable working across KS1 and KS2
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely
