We are looking for Passionate, Hard-working and committed Teaching Assistants to work in one of our Primary SEN schools within the Trafford area where you will play a vital role in supporting young people who have varying conditions such as Autism, physical disabilities, language and communication delays and General Development Delay. This will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is forward thinking and creative.
Responsibilities
- Attend to pupil’s needs and implement related personal programmes in accordance with their EHCP
- Assist with hygiene, first aid and welfare matters
- Encourage students to engage with others and activities
- Support the class teacher in behaviour management and de-escalation
- Support complex behaviour, sensory and behavioural needs
- Build strong rapport with students
- Assist in the general day-to-day classroom maintenance
A successful candidate will have
- Prior experience working with children/adults who have complex sensory/physical/behavioural needs
- A resilient, patient, reliable and compassionate approach
- The ability to work as a team player
- The ability to be adaptable and flexible
