A large primary school in the L6 area is currently seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a fixed‑term contract starting in September 2026. The role is expected to run throughout the academic year, with the potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing cover for PPA time and staff absences across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Experience in both key stages would therefore be highly advantageous.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • A qualified HLTA (or equivalent), or An Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain further experience in a primary setting before moving into a full‑time teaching role.
  • All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
  • All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
