Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary Schools – S2 Area & Surroundings
Location: Sheffield (S2 and surrounding areas)
Start Date: September 2025
Role Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)
Pay: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Are you an experienced HLTA looking to make a real difference in primary education? Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of primary schools in the S2 area and surrounding parts of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils’ learning and development while working flexibly and locally through the UK’s leading education recruitment agency.
The Role:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons to small groups or whole classes
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs across KS1 and KS2
- Working closely with class teachers to raise attainment
- Leading interventions and targeted support sessions
- Assisting with planning, assessment, and progress tracking
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification (or significant TA experience)
- Experience in primary classroom settings
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A flexible, proactive, and positive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
