We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Textiles to join our successful Design & Technology department at a secondary school in Preston, starting 23rd February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering engaging, high‑quality lessons and inspiring pupils to develop practical skills, creativity, and confidence within Textiles.
- Teaching Textiles across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
- Planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress
- Contributing positively to the wider Design & Technology department
- Maintaining a safe, well‑organised, and inspiring classroom environment
Requirements:
- Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
- Have experience teaching Textiles in a UK secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design & Technology
- Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
- Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and a strong team player
