We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and supportive Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join our lovely school community near Garstang. This role is Monday to Friday, working 7:30am–1:30pm, starting 23rd February 2026, for a fixed term of 12 months, with the view to transferring onto a school contract.
About the Role
- Act as the main Teaching Assistant within a Year 5 classroom for the mornings
- Support and help deliver the school’s Breakfast Club provision each morning (7:30am start)
- Provide high-quality classroom support to enhance teaching and learning
- Support pupils individually and in small groups, including targeted interventions
- Help create a positive, inclusive and well-structured learning environment
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to support pupil progress and attainment

- Has experience working with children in KS2 (Year 5 experience desirable)
- Is reliable, organised and confident in supporting early-morning provision
