Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive Primary SEN school to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
- Assisting with personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or care/support settings)
- Is patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive impact
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Has a genuine interest in inclusive education and child development
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
