A supportive Primary SEN School in Preston is looking for a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and is looking to develop their experience within a specialist setting.

Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience
About the Role: You will work with pupils aged 4–11 who have a range of needs, including autism, SEMH, communication difficulties and developmental delays. Support will be provided in small groups, one-to-one or within the classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with their learning, communication and personal development
- Assist the class teacher with classroom tasks and preparation of resources
- Help deliver interventions under the guidance of teaching staff
- Use positive behaviour strategies and promote emotional wellbeing
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and contribute to a positive learning environment
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience supporting children, ideally within an SEN or primary setting
- A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A genuine commitment to supporting children’s progress and wellbeing
