We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Portsmouth, providing both general classroom support and 1:1 assistance within a Year 2 setting. Role specifics

  • Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
  • Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of learning activities
  • Support pupils’ engagement, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils as required

Person Specification

  • Experience within KS1 is desirable
  • A minimum of two years’ employment history
  • A professional, patient and nurturing approach
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
