We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Secondary Unqualified Teacher to work full-time in a secondary school in Porth, RCT. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience supporting learning and development, whether with children, young people, or adults, and are looking to build a career within education.
Please note: Fluency in spoken Welsh is an essential requirement for this position.
The Role: What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering and supervising pre-prepared lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Communicating confidently with students and staff in Welsh
- Maintaining a calm, focused, and positive learning environment
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Taking registers and following safeguarding procedures
- Supporting students with their work and encouraging active participation
- Building positive relationships with students and staff across the school
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who are specifically seeking full-time employment and can demonstrate experience leading, supporting, or developing others. This role would suit individuals who:
- Are fluent Welsh speakers with excellent verbal communication skills
- Have experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, training, tutoring, instructing, or supervising children, young people, or adults
- Have experience working in schools, sports coaching, youth work, training environments, apprenticeships, the military, customer training, team leadership, or similar settings
- Are confident managing groups and communicating clearly with a range of individuals
- Can build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
- Are adaptable, resilient, and able to think on their feet
- Have strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
- Are committed to promoting an inclusive and respectful learning environment
- Are able to reliably travel to Porth and the surrounding RCT area
Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential for candidates who can demonstrate transferable experience leading or developing others.
