About the Role

Teaching Personnel are working with a lovely primary school in the BH10 area who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. You will be supporting children in Years 1 and 2, helping them build confidence and develop key skills in a positive and supportive classroom environment.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the teacher with engaging KS1 lessons
  • Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and early maths
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing
  • Supporting children with SEND where needed
  • Helping to keep the classroom organised and running smoothly

What We re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (school experience desirable)
  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Desirable Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience with phonics programmes or SEND support
  • Unqualified candidates with relevant experience are welcome
