We are currently seeking caring, patient, and dedicated qualified and unqualified SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of SEN schools throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil, and Caerphilly. About the Role

  • Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities, and complex learning needs
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment
  • Adapt your approach to suit pupils’ communication styles, interests, and abilities

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Is patient, caring, resilient, and adaptable
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within SEN settings is desirable but not essential

Requirements

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • References covering the past two years
