We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work in a special educational needs (SEN) school in the WF7 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of complex needs in a nurturing, specialist environment.

The Role

  • Supporting children and young people with EHCPs, working closely with teaching staff and therapists to help pupils access learning and develop independence.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support.
  • Supporting pupils with personal care where required.
  • Assisting with moving and handling (training provided if needed).
  • Supporting pupils with communication, sensory, behavioural and physical needs.
  • Helping to implement individual support plans and strategies.
  • Creating a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or support settings).
  • Comfortable with personal care and physical support.
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Able to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to undertake moving & handling / safeguarding training.
