Are you a passionate Psychology Teacher with experience in Criminology looking for a temporary role in the Plymouth area? Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools across the city and is seeking a dynamic teacher to cover a maternity leave from February. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or experienced social sciences specialists who enjoy inspiring students and delivering engaging lessons in Psychology and Criminology.
Responsibilities- Teach Psychology and Criminology across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with the Humanities and Social Sciences departments
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (ECTs welcome)
- Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and Criminology
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools is desirable but not essential
