We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive team, working across a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting. This highly rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils aged 11-16 with complex emotional, social, and behavioural needs - ideal for someone who is driven to help young people overcome barriers and rediscover their potential.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with teachers and specialist staff to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment. You will:
- Support pupils with their learning, behaviour, and emotional development
- Plan and deliver tailored interventions for individuals or small groups
- Apply effective behaviour-regulation strategies that align with school policies
- Monitor and record pupil progress, achievements, and areas for improvement
- Build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with young people and staff
Your work will play a crucial part in helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or working within youth offending or alternative provision
- Is resilient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive difference
- Works confidently both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (travel between sites is essential)
Competitive daily rates paid via PAYE (no umbrella fees). Access to a guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability). Ongoing CPD and training to support your professional growth. Pension contributions.
