We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Outreach SEN provision, supporting children who are not currently able to access mainstream education. This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same, working with pupils in alternative settings and providing tailored interventions to help re-engage them with learning.
Role Overview:
- Supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including SEMH, ASD, and behavioural needs
- Delivering and supporting targeted interventions on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation, and engagement with education
- Working in a variety of outreach locations rather than one fixed classroom
- Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils who may have struggled in mainstream settings
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (essential)
- SEN or outreach experience highly desirable
- Must be able to drive
- Business-use car insurance required (or willingness to obtain it)
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Confident working independently and adapting to changing environments
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 3:50pm
