Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools across the city and is seeking confident and reliable PE cover teachers to start immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified PE teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), sports graduates, or experienced cover supervisors who enjoy promoting physical activity and supporting students’ wellbeing.
About the Role
- Deliver pre-planned PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Supervise and engage students in a range of sports and physical activities
- Ensure lessons are safe, inclusive, and well-managed
- Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Encourage teamwork, participation, and healthy lifestyles
- Work collaboratively with PE departments and school staff
About You
- QTS is desirable but not essential (sports graduates and experienced cover staff welcome)
- Background in PE, sport, or coaching
- Confident leading groups of secondary-aged students
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and professional
- Experience working in UK secondary schools is beneficial but not required
