We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Milton Keynes from September. This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of the Science Department, providing essential technical support to teaching staff and helping to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 3:50pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 3:20pm
  • 37 hours per week
  • Term time only

The Role

  • Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical experiments
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and resources
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
  • Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
  • Supporting teaching staff with practical lesson preparation
  • Keeping laboratories organised, clean, and safe

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has a background in Science (desirable but not essential)
  • Has experience working in a Science department, school laboratory, or similar environment (advantageous)
  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Is committed to supporting high-quality teaching and learning
