We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Milton Keynes from September. This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of the Science Department, providing essential technical support to teaching staff and helping to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 3:50pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:20pm
- 37 hours per week
- Term time only
The Role
- Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical experiments
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and resources
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
- Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
- Supporting teaching staff with practical lesson preparation
- Keeping laboratories organised, clean, and safe
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a background in Science (desirable but not essential)
- Has experience working in a Science department, school laboratory, or similar environment (advantageous)
- Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
