Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support students within a specialist SEN high school in Bolton. This rewarding role involves providing personal care and educational support to young people with special educational needs, helping them access learning opportunities and develop independence in a safe and supportive environment.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am β 3:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care support where required
- Supporting students with a range of special educational needs
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning programmes
- Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
- Care experience
- Care trained - Moving and handling etc is preferred but not essential
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach
- An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00am β 3:00pm
