Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools within Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT). You'll support pupils with a variety of additional learning needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop key skills, and achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, youth work, coaching, or anyone with a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
The Role
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist learners in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
What We're Looking For
- Patient, caring, and resilient
- Passionate about supporting children and young people
- Adaptable and able to respond to a range of learning needs
- Strong communicators with a positive attitude
- Able to build meaningful relationships with pupils and staff
- Experienced in education, care, support work, sports coaching, youth work, or similar roles (desirable but not essential)
