Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Secondary Teaching Assistants to support schools across the RCT area, including mainstream secondary schools, behaviour provisions, and specialist SEN settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people, especially those who may need additional guidance with behaviour or learning needs.

The Role:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3–KS5
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Work with students in mainstream classrooms, behaviour bases, and SEN schools
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs (ALN), autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable experience)
  • Confident supporting challenging behaviour and SEN needs
  • Positive, resilient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Essential Requirements:

  • DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new DBS
  • Must be able to drive or travel up to 1 hour via public transport
  • Right to work in the UK
