Position: Full Time

Start Date - September 2026

Salary - £92.63 - £110.00 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in Penkridge who are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their support team. This is a full-time role, supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering lessons across a range of subjects
  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning
  • Encourage student engagement and participation within lessons
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Provide additional support to students who may need extra guidance
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Support students’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Confident supporting students within a secondary school setting
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student development
  • Relevant qualifications or experience within education are beneficial but not essential
