Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a lovely primary school in Garstang, who are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant (TA2) to support a mixed KS1 class on a part-time basis starting September 2025.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class.

Key Requirements:

Minimum of TA2 level qualification or equivalent

Experience working in KS1, ideally in a mixed-age setting

Strong knowledge of phonics and the ability to confidently deliver phonics sessions (experience with schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds is desirable)

A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners

Able to work effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Part-time (specific days to be discussed)

Contract: Initially temporary, with the potential for extension or a permanent role
