Are you an experienced teacher looking for a PART TIME role? Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Teacher who is available PART TIME. Whether it’s 2/3 days a week, day to day sickness cover or block bookings, we need your help! At Teaching Personnel, we have a huge need for Part Time Teachers in the Barnet Borough!
What you would be doing:
- As a PART TIME Teacher, your duties will vary. If you’re doing day to day sickness cover, we would call you up in the mornings to see if you are available for the day.
- For block bookings, we would book you in for a week or two to cover prolonged absences.
- There is also the opportunity for 2/3 days permanent work for those looking for a shorter work week!

Main roles and Responsibilities:
- Covering Sickness.
- Teaching all pupils in your class according to the National curriculum.
- Targeting and adapting the lesson to the specific needs of each child.
- Completing all records and assessments determined by the school’s policy.
- Making use of ICT to enhance understanding of tasks and lessons.
- Organising resources for the subject/area so that they are accessible, orderly, well labelled and appropriate.
- Involve pupils in self and peer assessment.
- Using a variety of teaching and learning styles to ensure and maintain high standards of learning, behaviour and progress in the class.
- Create and build appropriate teacher-parent relationships.
- Prepare pupils for going into the next academic year.
- Liase with other teachers regarding pupil information and needs.
- Always operate within the set policies of the school.
- Leading classes by giving lectures, demonstrating tasks, assigning tasks and encouraging discussions.
- Answering students' questions.
Key skills and requirements:
- Qualified Teaching status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience in a variety of age groups.
- A good understanding of the curriculum and behavioural management techniques.
- Reliable.
- Punctual.
- Compassionate.
- IT competent.
- Presentable and professional.
