About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff.
  • Act as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Manage school communications, including emails, letters, and telephone enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate pupil records and school databases.
  • Support attendance monitoring and reporting processes.
  • Assist with the organisation of school events, meetings, and appointments.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and other financial administration as required.
  • Ensure school documentation is up to date and compliant with policies and procedures.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding administration, including safeguarding checks where appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with GDPR requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience in an administrative or business support role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
