We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable P.E Teacher to work within a specialist secondary setting supporting pupils aged 11 to 16. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for an educator who is passionate about using physical education to build confidence, wellbeing and engagement for young people with additional needs.

Working hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

This welcoming and well-resourced campus provides a structured, inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to succeed both academically and personally. The school is recognised for its strong pastoral care, clear routines and collaborative staff team, creating a positive culture where staff feel valued and supported in their roles.

You will be teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs, which may include:

  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Communication and interaction difficulties

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging P.E lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Support the academic and theoretical aspects of P.E, not just practical activities
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning and physical needs
  • Promote positive behaviour, teamwork and resilience

What We're Looking For

  • QTS is beneficial but not essential
  • Non-QTS applicants are welcome with experience delivering the academic elements of P.E
  • A minimum of 6 months' childcare experience, particularly with SEN, would be beneficial
  • A confident, inclusive and adaptable teaching approach
