We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team, with the opportunity to take on Deputy responsibilities. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the nursery while helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general nursery duties, including planning and delivering engaging activities, supervising playtimes, and providing high-quality pastoral care.
  • Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are consistently upheld and followed at all times.
  • Act as a Key Worker for a group of children, completing observations, assessments, and maintaining learning journeys.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, ensuring staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times.
  • Support the Supervisor in a Deputy capacity, assisting with administrative tasks, data collection, and assessments as required.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Confident in taking initiative and supporting leadership when required.
