Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to help the pupil understand and complete classroom tasks.
- Adapt learning materials and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
- Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver inclusive and differentiated learning activities.
- Maintain regular communication with the SENCO and other professionals involved in the pupil’s care.
- Encourage positive peer interaction and participation in group activities.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that enables progress and confidence.
Requirements:
- Level 2 childcare qualification (Level 3 preferred).
- Experience working 1:1 with SEN pupils; SEN-specific qualifications are desirable.
- Previous experience within the education sector.
- A commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and progression.
