Full-Time Nursery Teaching Assistant – Preston Primary School

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm
Location: Preston
Start Date: February 2026

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the nursery provision of a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Preston .

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for early years education to make a lasting impact within a nurturing and well-resourced setting.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children aged 3–4 within a busy nursery class.
  • Assisting with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a safe, stimulating environment.
  • Helping to monitor progress and maintain accurate learning records.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting is essential.
  • A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.
  • Positive, nurturing approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
