Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early development? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming early years setting in Newton Abbot. This is a permanent full-time position, ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.
- Support the learning and development of children in line with the EYFS framework
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities that promote curiosity and creativity
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
- Support children with personal care, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff, parents, and external professionals
- Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and reports
Qualifications
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education or Childcare)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- A genuine passion for early childhood education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
