About the Role
As a Supply Nursery Practitioner, you'll have the opportunity to work within different early years settings, supporting children from babies through to preschool age. You'll play an important role in creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
- Encouraging communication, language and physical development
- Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Supporting daily routines including meals, sleep times and personal care
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Observing children's development and contributing to their learning journeys
- Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures
- Adapting quickly to the routines and expectations of different settings
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from Nursery Practitioners who are enthusiastic about working with young children and can confidently adapt to different environments.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- A good understanding of the EYFS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, patient and positive approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confidence supporting children's behaviour and individual needs
- A reliable and flexible attitude
- A genuine passion for helping children learn and develop
