We are seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking team in Northampton, supporting students across Key Stage 3 & 4 with additional learning and behavioural needs. Role Details
- Location: Northampton, NN1 2BG
- Contract: Temp to Perm / Long-term
- Hours: 8:30am – pm
- Setting: On-site, SEN & Alternative Provision
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support students with SEN, SEMH, and additional behavioural needs
- Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Promote communication, independence, and emotional development
- Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and wider school teams
- Encourage student engagement, progress, and wellbeing
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience or strong interest in SEN, SEMH, or Alternative Provision
- Understanding of KS1 and KS2 learning approaches within secondary settings
- Creative, patient, and compassionate teaching style
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A valid driver's license and own motor vehicle are required to drive through school.
