Are you passionate about sparking curiosity, inspiring young minds, and helping children discover the joy of learning? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and vibrant Secondary school in Northampton.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you’ll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning – delivering interventions, covering lessons, and helping to raise attainment across Key Stage 3 & 4. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
- Lead small group interventions across core subjects
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and EAL
- Contribute to planning and assessment alongside teachers
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Confident leading whole-class learning when required
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and passion for education
