Are you looking to work one-to-one with children outside of mainstream schools? If so, TP Tutors may have the role for you. This English tutor role will be ideal if you have previous experience of teaching, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or tutoring and are looking for some flexible work. It will be based working with Primary/Secondary children in the Northampton area.

This English tutor role involves:

  • Working with children with SEN needs who need to provide face to face support to children with ASD, SEMH at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/carers.
  • Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in English.
  • Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.

What we are looking for in an English tutor:

  • SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other).
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions.
  • Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning.

  • Hourly rate of £25- £30 which is paid weekly.
  • Access to free safeguarding and CPD courses as well as free access to assessment tools and resources.

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).
