Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Tutor looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?
We are seeking enthusiastic tutors to provide personalised one-to-one or small group tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence, improve attainment, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet each student's individual learning needs.
- Adapt teaching methods, lesson plans and resources to support a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other additional learning needs.
- Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in core subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, engagement and independence.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and session outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Experience teaching or tutoring English, Maths, Science or other core subjects.
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach to supporting learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
