Full time position supporting a Durham secondary school. Ideal for science graduates or former Teaching Assistants looking to progress their career in education. Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Science Technician to play a key role in ensuring practical lessons run smoothly. You'll prepare equipment, maintain resources, and support teachers and students during experiments. Strong scientific knowledge is essential.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing and setting up equipment for science lessons
  • Maintaining and storing chemicals and apparatus safely
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

You need:

  • A degree in a science related subject (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in secondary schools (preferable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students
