Teaching Personnel is looking for a teacher with the ability to deliver both Maths and Science across a Durham secondary school from September 2026. This is a long‑term supply position that suits a specialist in one subject with solid working knowledge of the other – or someone who is genuinely confident across both. Schools increasingly value teachers who can cover across departments, and this role reflects that.

You'll be a flexible, valued member of staff across two core subject areas, working with students at KS3 and KS4 and contributing to two established departments. What you'll be doing each day will vary — some days weighted toward Maths, others toward Science — but the school will work with you to ensure the timetable plays to your strengths.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons in Maths and/or Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Assessing student progress
