We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team from September. This is a varied and rewarding role, with mornings spent supporting teaching and learning across KS1, and afternoons focused on providing 1:1 support for a pupil who benefits from additional guidance and consistency.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young children, ideally within KS1
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Is patient, calm, and adaptable in a busy classroom environment
  • Can support early reading, writing and maths with confidence
  • Is able to deliver 1:1 support in a sensitive, structured, and encouraging way
  • Works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative

In this role you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Work with small groups to reinforce learning
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support each afternoon, helping a pupil access learning and develop confidence
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
