About the Role

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to join one of our highly regarded secondary schools in the Newport area full-time! In this role, you’ll inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 to 5, helping them develop essential skills in literacy, critical thinking, and communication. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to the wider school community by supporting extracurricular activities such as productions, clubs, and trips, while collaborating on dynamic schemes of work and high-quality teaching resources.

  • Have experience teaching English KS3/KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are completing their induction
  • Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • At least two professional references covering 24 months
