How to prepare for a job interview at Teaching Personnel

✨Know Your EYFS

Make sure you brush up on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Understanding its principles and how they apply to play-based learning will show your potential employer that you're not just passionate but also knowledgeable about early childhood education.

✨Showcase Your Nurturing Side

During the interview, share specific examples of how you've supported children's development in previous roles. Whether it's a story about helping a child with additional needs or creating a safe environment, these anecdotes will highlight your caring approach and suitability for the role.

✨Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect questions that ask how you'd handle certain situations, like managing a child's behaviour or supporting a group activity. Think through your responses ahead of time, using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers effectively.

✨Ask Thoughtful Questions

At the end of the interview, don’t forget to ask questions! Inquire about the nursery's approach to child development or how they support staff training. This shows your genuine interest in the role and helps you gauge if it’s the right fit for you.
