About the Role

Ready to teach what you love? We're looking for a passionate and driven Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) eager to make their mark in the classroom! Whether your subject is Welsh, Maths, Drama, Science, PE, or any other subject, this is your chance to bring enthusiasm into the classroom and inspire the next generation. This role offers valuable experience and the chance to grow real classroom confidence. You'll be teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of supporting Key Stage 5 depending on your subject. Your focus will be planning and delivering dynamic lessons that follow the national curriculum and spark curiosity and a love for learning. You'll join one of our fantastic partner secondary schools in the Newport area, known for its warm atmosphere, excellent pastoral support, and commitment to helping every student thrive. You'll receive full support throughout your placement, making this an ideal opportunity for someone starting your teaching career - and you can even complete your NQT hours through supply. Whether you're looking for full-time or flexible part-time work, we'd love to hear from enthusiastic teachers ready to make a real impact!

What We're Looking For

  • Are eager to gain experience-teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 potentially)
  • Have the ability to plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all learners
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management, behaviour strategies, and confident communication skills
  • Have a genuine passion for education and want to make a positive, lasting impact

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be in the process of completing your teacher training/induction
  • If you don't yet have all the necessary documentation, Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining:
    • Education Workforce Council (EWC)
    • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
    • Level 2 Safeguarding training
    • Two recent professional references covering the last 24 months - including references from your PGCE placements
