Hours: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: From £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full Academic Year

Teaching Personnel is working with a number of welcoming secondary schools across Newport that are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who wants to gain valuable classroom experience.
The Role
- As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.
- Supervising classes across a range of subjects (no lesson planning required)
- Delivering pre-prepared work left by the class teacher
- Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
- Managing classroom behaviour confidently and professionally
- Supporting students with questions while encouraging independent learning
- Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour

Educator Requirements
The ideal candidate will also require the following or already hold & willing to apply for: (We can help you obtain the below as part of the registration process)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Education Workforce Regulation registration (EWC)
- Aged 18 and over
- Level 2 Safeguarding Course as part of your onboarding with us
- A Minimum of 2 professional based references which cover a 24-month period of employment (or equivalent)
