In this role, you will supervise classes during short‑term teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay on task and remain engaged with the work provided. You must be able to discuss relevant qualifications and demonstrate transferable skills during interview, and you will be required to complete thorough vetting checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting pupils with their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment
  • Applying behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day
  • Experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, etc.) or experience managing/leading groups
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • EWC Registration (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Must be aged 18 or over
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
