We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school team, working within KS2, primarily supporting a Year 3/4 class. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with their learning and enjoys helping children reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide day-to-day support to pupils within a Year 3/4 classroom.
  • Support children with their learning across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Lead or support small-group activities and targeted interventions where required.
  • Work with individual pupils who require additional support.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children.
  • Provide consistent support for pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Have the confidence and resilience to manage challenging situations appropriately.
  • Support pupils with SEND and adapt approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Work effectively alongside teachers and other members of the school team.
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement and a supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Experience supporting children with their learning.
  • Experience working with, or supporting, children with SEND.
  • Confidence in supporting children who may present with challenging behaviour.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A calm, patient and consistent approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally.
