TP Tutors is seeking compassionate and reliable tutors to support Looked After Children in the Gosforth (NE3) area through personalised, one-to-one tuition. This role is centred around providing consistency, encouragement, and tailored academic support to children and young people who may have experienced disruption in their education. You’ll be supporting learners with core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, while also helping to build confidence, routine, and positive engagement with learning. Sessions are delivered face-to-face, either in the pupil’s home or in a local community setting such as a library. Each session is planned around the individual needs of the learner, balancing academic progress with emotional and pastoral support.
The role involves:
- Delivering structured 1:1 tuition to Looked After Children
- Adapting learning to suit ability, pace, and emotional needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships with learners

We’re keen to hear from qualified teachers, experienced tutors, or education professionals with a background in supporting vulnerable learners. An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) is required.
