We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Secondary School in New Romney. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students individually and in small groups
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Provide extra support to students with SEN or additional learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
- Positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
