We are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a friendly and supportive Secondary School in New Romney. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during short-term absences of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the school’s behaviour policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and instructions
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide guidance and support to students when required
- Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A confident, flexible, and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
