We are seeking a resilient, nurturing and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a specialism in behaviour and inclusion to join a specialist secondary setting supporting young people with SEMH and trauma-related needs. This role is ideal for someone who understands that behaviour is communication and who can remain calm, consistent, and patient in the face of challenge. You will play a key role in supporting students to regulate, re-engage with learning, and feel safe within the school environment.
The Role
- Provide targeted support for students with SEMH and trauma-related needs
- Lead and support behaviour and inclusion strategies across the setting
- Work with individuals and small groups to support emotional regulation and engagement
- Support teachers with planning and delivery of inclusive learning activities
- Model calm, consistent, and nurturing responses to behaviour
- Contribute to behaviour plans, risk assessments, and inclusion strategies
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students who may struggle to engage in education

- Significant experience working with SEN, particularly SEMH and trauma (essential)
