We are excited to offer two fantastic opportunities for caring, enthusiastic and Fluent Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistants to join our warm and community-focused school in the heart of Neath from September 2026. About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally within a Welsh-medium learning environment. The role will involve:
- Supporting pupils in class, in small groups and through targeted interventions.
- Helping children develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours.
- Providing emotional support and helping pupils regulate and engage positively throughout the school day.
- Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), behavioural needs or emotional wellbeing needs where appropriate.
- Assisting with engaging classroom activities, wellbeing support and outdoor learning opportunities.
- Building strong and positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Helping create a calm, safe and nurturing environment where every child can succeed.
