Do you have extensive experience supporting early readers and a passion for phonics? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in the M26 area to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support children in Reception, with a strong focus on phonics intervention using the Read Write Inc scheme. This role is ideal for a confident, knowledgeable EYFS practitioner who is enthusiastic about early reading and eager to make a meaningful, long-term impact on pupils at the very start of their learning journey.

The Role Will Involve:
- Supporting the delivery of Read Write Inc phonics sessions, ensuring fidelity to the programme
- Leading small group and one-to-one phonics interventions to support early readers
- Working closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to support progress and close learning gaps
- Supporting children during Continuous Provision, with a particular focus on communication and language
- Assisting with assessment, tracking, and recording phonics progress
- Creating a calm, nurturing and structured environment that supports learning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Teaching Assistance
- Extensive experience in EYFS, particularly in Reception
- Strong, hands-on experience delivering Read Write Inc phonics
- Confidence leading groups independently and adapting support to individual needs
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to the school day
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for early literacy
- A current DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
